In the article, A Taste of Hilton Head shares the inspiring story of Reverend Dr. Nannette Pierson, who founded SCFP in 2009 after hearing the call to help feed hungry children. What began as a small initiative serving just five families has now expanded to a vital resource assisting over 650 families each week. The feature also sheds light on the pantry’s recent challenges, including a sudden need to relocate. Thanks to the generosity of Queen Chapel AME Church, SCFP was able to secure a new home just in time, allowing its mission to continue uninterrupted.
